Rossendale Residence – Master Ensuite
The Rossendale Residence, a family ‘forever home’ in rural Christchurch
The award-winning project is the master ensuite at the Rossendale Residence, a beautiful family home on a lifestyle block in rural Christchurch. The clients, an established builder and his family, were building their ‘forever home’ and engaged us to design the full interiors from colours and finishes to bathrooms and joinery.
The home balances calming light spaces with darker, moody areas and playful elements to reflect the personalities of the couple and their three young daughters.
Designing a Spa-Like Sanctuary
For the master ensuite, the brief was clear: create a light, bright, and unique space that feels tranquil, rejuvenating, and spa-like - a luxury retreat for the couple amid the bustle of family life.
The design incorporates:
Soft whites and greys for a calming palette
Two shower rails with a rain head for ultimate functionality
Double vanity with vessel bowls
Playful curves and bespoke brass lighting for a touch of personality and sophistication
Organic curved walls and bespoke towel rails create a sculptural, spa-like feel in the master ensuite
By embracing innovative, non-traditional solutions, we crafted a space that reflects the owner’s expertise as a builder while delivering a serene retreat for relaxation and refreshment.
